=====================

1: Kibble Nibble: mewsings from the food bowl (editorial)

We are feeling rather frantic right now.  The soy/veg candle
business is taking off--yea!--plus, we might be moving.  Heaven
forbid!

Our quiet little home in the woods does not have the amenities my
doctor has prescribed--pool therapy and safe walking areas--so we
are working toward moving into an apartment we've picked out.
But you never know, things could change again and change some
more around here.

The cats know something's up.  I've been going through my
clothes, old and new, since some are now too big for me--
yea!--some may just be too old.  I haven't decided whether to
sell on eBay or donate.

But never fear!  Even with all of this potential mayhem
occurring, plus Thanksgiving at Orcas Island next week, CATLINES
is on it's way!

Happy November,

Enjoy this month's CATLINES!  Please be sure to invite your
cat-loving friends to join us, too.  Thanks.

And check out those candles!  They make great gifts, great
fundraisers, and more!

Daily thoughts and affirmations for cats...

=================

I willl not leap into my human's chair which she has temporarily
vacated, and then bite my human on the tush when she sits back
down.

I will not sniff at my male human's feet after he takes his shoes
off, freeze my mouth open in disgust and then sniff my private
parts to compare odors. My female human might find it amusing,
but my male human does not appreciate it, especially in front of
company.

I will not slurp fish food from the surface of the aquarium.

I will not bite my human on the rear while she is sitting on the
Big White Drinking Bowl.

I will not eat large numbers of assorted bugs, then come home and
barf them up so the humans can see that I'm getting plenty of
roughage.

I will not lean way over to drink out of the tub, fall in, and
then pelt right for the box of clumping cat litter. (It took
FOREVER to get the stuff out of my fur.)

I will not use the bathtub to store live mice for late-night
snacks.

I will not drag dirty socks up from the basement in the middle of
the night, deposit them on the bed and yell at the top of my
lungs (Burmese LOUD yowling) so that my human can admire my
"kill."

I will not knead my male human's groin at 2 a.m.with claws
extended. It seems to cause him some discomfort and he wakes up
all grumpy.

I will not perch on my human's chest in the middle of the night
and stare into her eyes until she wakes up.

We will not play Herd of Thundering Wildebeests Stampeding Across
the Plains of the Serengeti over my humans' bed while they're
trying to sleep.

I will not complain that my butt is wet and that I am thirsty
after sitting in my water bowl.

The dog can see me coming when I stalk him. He can see me and
will move out of the way when I pounce, letting me smash into
floors and walls. That does not mean I should take it as a
personal insult when my humans sit there and laugh.

I will not play "dead cat on the stairs" while people are trying
to bring in groceries or laundry, or else one of these days, it
will really come true.

When the humans play darts, I will not leap into the air and
attempt to catch them.

When my human is typing at the computer, her forearms are not a
hammock. I will not walk on the keyboard when my human is writing
important emio gnaioerp ga3qi4 taija3tgv aa35 a.

The goldfish likes living in water and should be allowed to
remain in its bowl.

I will not drag the magnets (and the papers they are holding up)
off of the refrigerator and then bat them underneath it so that
they adhere to the underside.

I promise I will meditate more closely upon the causal
relationship between going dumpster diving on Sunday afternoon
and projectile vomiting Monday, and being brought to the Evil
Place Where They Stick Things Up My Butt on Tuesday evening. I
realize that if I hadn't done the first, none of the other things
would have happened.

I will not be miffed at my human all day and then kiss her on the
nose at 2:00 a.m. to tell her that she is forgiven and can now
pet me.

A warm pepperoni pizza is not a good place for a nap.

(Editor's note:this is from Tony, the blind guy who climbed a
tree to rescue Pecan and got stuck up there; see CATLINES
archives for this story.)

I have to tell a funny story about Pecan the crazy cat.  She
really is crazy. I am having one of the rooms here in the castle
worked on.  They are redoing the walls and laying wooden
flooring.  My dad and brother are doing the work. My dad had cut
an access hole in the wall for storage.  He went to board it up
so that Pecan wouldn't crawl in there and get inside the walls.
Well he boarded it up before he left for home that evening.

I didn't really pay it much mind until after about five hours I
hadn't seen Pecan.  I looked all over the house and couldn't find
her.  I called and called until I heard a very low meowing noise
that seemed to be coming from inside the walls. Come to find out
that instead of keeping her out of the walls, he boarded her
up without knowing it. LOL She didn't waist any time coming out
of there when I took the board down. LOL bet she won't crawl in
there again.

Tony, and the crazy cat Pecan

(editor's note: another poem sent to me by my friend, Kami, who
made her life transition at the end of May of this year.)

Be Thankful

Be thankful that you don't already have everything you desire.
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?

Be thankful when you don't know something,
for it gives you the opportunity to learn.

Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times you grow.

Be thankful for your limitations,
because they give you opportunities for improvement.

Be thankful for each new challenge,
because it will build your strength and character.

Be thankful for your mistakes.
They will teach you valuable lessons.

Be thankful when you're tired and weary,
because it means you've made a effort.

It's easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who
are also thankful for the setbacks.

Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles,
and they can become your blessings.

More plentiful

There are so many things in this life to be grateful for that we
quite often take them for granted.

Think about the people who love you, no matter what. The other
people in our groups who help us without having ever met us. The
opportunity we have been given just because we were fortunate
enough to find someone else in this company who sponsored us.

When you feel like life isn't being particularly kind to you,
take time to think about how kind you've been to others. The
"reap what you sow" theory is more powerful than some people
think.

Give fully of yourself and you may be surprised what comes back
to you. And when you give, do it because it feels right, not
because you are wanting in return. That's when wonderful things
can happen in both your personal life and business.

And now, here's Ralph Marston:
When you make use of your strength, it does not get used up. It
grows.

When you give your love to others, it does not diminish the love
you have. It deepens and enriches that love.

When you teach what you know, it does not take knowledge away
from you. It expands and broadens your knowledge.

When you offer kindness, you end up with even more. When you make
use of discipline, your discipline grows ever stronger.

The more you live with integrity, the more integrity you'll have.
The more you speak the truth, the more real truth you'll
discover.

The truly valuable things in life are easy to recognize, for
they're the things that never get used up. Indeed, the truly
valuable things become more plentiful each and every time they're
used.

(your editor's birthday)

Reasons to be thankful

The more you appreciate something, the more valuable it becomes.
By being truly and actively thankful, you actually increase and
expand the reasons you have for being thankful.

How thankful are you? Thankfulness isn't about not having what
you want, it's about wanting what you have. We talk a lot about
goals and I believe they are absolutely essential, but make sure
you don't forget your attitude of gratitude!

Are you totally consumed by getting what you don't yet have?
Don't let this thought process lead to a feeling of never
realizing the great gifts you have already been given.

Whenever you get to feeling frustrated about the way your life or
business is going, stop and take a moment to be thankful. Not
only do you have family and friends, a home and enough to eat,
but you have been given the greatest business opportunity you
will probably ever come across.

We all have the potential to be very wealthy and many will, but
even before that happens, remember to be thankful for what you
already have. We tend to forget how lucky we are.

Remember those in countries without the options we have. Think of
those who suffer from health issues we can never imagine, without
homes, with the worry of where they will get food for their
family that day.

When you take a moment to really think about it, you can't help
but be grateful for all the things you actually have. Wake up
each day with that ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE!!

Be well and prosper!

Security

Why would someone express initial interest in an opportunity,
receive multiple messages encouraging them to get involved, yet
not act on it?  I don't know!

It's one of those curious behaviors that stems from human
nature.  But I think I know one of the key reasons, and that's
what I want to talk to you about.

Many of these people live under the illusion that they are secure
where they are.  They thus think that to pursue an opportunity
takes them out of the realm of security and into the realm of
risk.  Yet, ask any one of the millions of Americans who have
recently lost their "secure" jobs, and they will tell you that
the risk of doing nothing, because you think you are secure,
is far greater than the risk of pursuing "0PPORTUNITY".

General MacArthur once said, "There is no security in life.
There is only 0pportunity."

AMERICA HAS BEEN KNOWN HISTORICALLY AS THE LAND OF 0PPORTUNITY.

The pilgrims who came here were not looking for security. They
sought an opportunity to worship God freely according to the
dictates of their own consciences.

The founding fathers gave up security, mutually pledging their
lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor.  They did so in
pursuit of an opportunity to give succeeding generations a better
life . . . not a life that guarant'eed security, but a life that
guarant'eed the 0pportunity to pursue happiness.

Likewise, the settlers who blazed their way to the western shores
of this great land did not do so for security.  They saw
"0pportunity".

Yet SOMETHING HAS HAPPENED TO RECENT GENERATIONS OF AMERICANS.

While many still flock to our shores seeking the 0pportunity of a
better life, MANY OF US HAVE COME TO THINK OF AMERICA AS THE LAND
OF SECURITY RATHER THAN THE LAND OF 0PPORTUNITY.

We increasingly surrender 0pportunities and freedoms to a
government that now promises us security.

WE HAVE FAILED TO REALIZE THAT EVERY GOVERNMENT IN HISTORY
THAT PROMISED SECURITY TO ITS CITIZENS DID SO AT THE EXPENSE OF
THE FREEDOM TO PURSUE 0PPORTUNITY.

Furthermore, SEPTEMBER 11 WAS A WAKEUP CALL TO ALL OF US that
MacArthur was right: THERE IS NO SECURITY IN THIS LIFE.  Not only
did many lose their lives in that great tragedy in New York, but
many more have lost their jobs since then, over 2,000,000.

So WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?  Live under the illusion that what's
happening to many people all around you will not happen to you?
Don't be too sure. We all thought as a nation that what happens
in other parts of the world would never happen here, but it did!

The only way you can lose is by continuing to live under the myth
of security.

It's your choice. You can continue to live under the "Myth Of
Security", which is NOT real, while ignoring a flat-out awesome
opportunity that IS real.

I sincerely hope you choose the latter.

clothes, old and new, since some are now too big for me--
yea!--some may just be too old.  I haven't decided whether to
sell on eBay or donate.

But never fear!  Even with all of this potential mayhem
occurring, plus Thanksgiving at Orcas Island next week, CATLINES
is on it's way!

Happy November,

Enjoy this month's CATLINES!  Please be sure to invite your
cat-loving friends to join us, too.  Thanks.

And check out those candles!  They make great gifts, great
fundraisers, and more!

Daily thoughts and affirmations for cats...

=================

Indeed, the truly
valuable things become more plentiful each and every time they're
used.
